2000bhp and only does a poxy 270mph? It must be a brick shithouse on
wheels. It will turn out like the "300mph" Dagger GT. That can't get
going as they didn't have a clue what it really takes to go proper fast
and are having to learn. Now comes with "ballast".
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transtar_Dagger_GT

What it takes is to start off with a proper car. Conservative estimate,
a 1989 production Nissan only needs 1220bhp to do 270mph.
170 x (270/140)³ = 1220.

On 2000bhp it will go 318 mph. So it would be the Nemesis of the Nemesis
and faster than the Dagger GT estimates it can go on 2700 bhp. That's
faster than Troy Tempest's car, that could do 300 mph on a good day if
it wasn't for the WASP highway patrol.

The chassis already holds 8 Bonneville records. Fastest so far is E/FALT
235.89mph with an ex-Indy methanol V8 ~ 800bhp. Bonneville trim wheel
covers, roof skegs, tail, salt scooping air dam with letter box cooling
inlet, estimates to 1213bhp for 270mph and 319mph on 2000bhp.

V8's like LS1 drop right in and disappear in the engine bay, one has a
BMW V12 put in it. Straight 8's are a bit of a squeeze but one has got
in. Just like any man and his dog, I can buy a Nelson crate V8 with
2700bhp on race gas = 350mph. That should be adequate "ballast".

For 2500 bhp = 343mph there is a huge choice

$52000 + $5000 = supercar slayer. OK may need a $25000 transmission as
well (more "ballast"), the box blows up on 350-400bhp.

As it's got a floor pan that's as rough as a badger's arse, a smooth
flat floor will make it even quicker. But not as fast as a Corsa 1.2L
with the back seat folded down.

Anyone up for a hyperhero (beyond your average superhero) fast 330mph
car for bargain basement $150,000? To make it worth me quitting my day
job I'll need 10 orders with up front payments in full. If on delivery
in 2020 you don't like the chassis / body shell, which I'm counting on,
as it's a 31 year old "entry level sports coupe" AKA "Rust Bucket" or
"Jap Scrap" or "college kid car" and make demands for something
"better". I'll buy it back, base car value of $5000 cash + 25% of retail
value of parts as allowance for now second hand parts. You may think
that's a poor offer. The only way to get a better return would be to
break it up and sell the bits. You might get 1/2 the retail but will
take a year and if you pay someone to take the bits off they will take
1/2 of that.

Sod the golf clubs, just like a Nissan Micra or Fiat Punto SX you can
sling a bicycle in the back of this without taking a wheel off. But if
sets of golf clubs is the measure then it will take a golfing partner, 2
sets of clubs with trolleys and 2 kids to caddy for you.
